
Dan started shooting in 2016 when he joined the University of Exeter rifle club, initially shooting smallbore, before moving on to fullbore and experimenting with historical service rifle with a .303 Lee Enfield. Dan became a successful part of the BYSA historical service rifle team, notably being part of the winning historical falling plates match for 3 years in a row.
Alongside individual shooting Dan became the Treasurer for the County of Gloucestershire Rifle association and represented the county in the KGV and Inter-counties competitions. Being part of the long range team that came 2nd in the 2025 Imperial Inter-counties match and the team that came 2nd in the KGV final also in 2025.
Outside of shooting Dan works as a project accountant in Bristol and keeps fit for shooting by playing tennis. This will be the first travelling touring role for Dan, after being a reserve for the NRA Channel Islands team for 2024/25.
