Rick started shooting in 1980 with the Sea Cadets at RAF Sealand 200 yards. Using a .303 Lee Enfield. He has seen a number of notable achievements in shooting career including, 2nd in the Frankfort and 3rd in the Watts Bowl in the ISCRM 1983, Team England’s highest scorer in the 2023 Protea match and a number of Queens and Kings finals. Rick has previously toured with the NRA to the Channel Islands in 2019 and South Africa with England in 2023.
Outside shooting Rick works part time at a local college and full time as “dads taxi”. He is still involved with his local Sea Cadets

The King of England once tapped Rick on the shoulder to shake his hand after driving him around Manchester for the afternoon. Then watched him jump into a helicopter and fly himself home!
