This will be Alastair’s first overseas tour to the USA and his third with the England Rifle Team (previously South Africa in 2013 and Kenya and South Africa in 2023). In March 2024, he competed as an individual in the World Long Range Target Rifle Championships at Bloemfontein in South Africa, marking his fourth tour to Bloemfontein, SA, since 2009.
Previous tours include Canada twice (1990 and Athelings in 1991) and the Channel Islands with the NRA Team in 2002. In 2013 he was reserve for the GB Rifle Team to Canada. Alastair has shot for England in the European Long Range Target Rifle Championships three times, the RSA International twice (2013 and 2023), the Protea Match (2023), the Kenya Match (2023) and has been a reserve for England in both the American Match (in South Africa in 2013) and the National Match (2013).
Outside of shooting, Alastair enjoys spending time with his young family, dog walking, cooking and entertaining.
