After that, he concentrated on being a reliable team shot, learning from his illustrious team mates in Norfolk, of whom he has since captained for around 10 years. Nigel’s first Great Britain tour was to the West Indies in 1996 and his second to New Zealand in 2010. He has also shot in the National 3 times and the MacKinnon once. Nigel very much enjoyed his last England tour to Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana in 2017. He has recently revitalized his shooting as a result of winning a Ten Point Nine jacket in the 2024 GB raffle and thus successfully gained a place on this 2026 England West Indies tour.

At home, Nigel is MD of a large family farming business with horticultural roots, specializing in herb production for freezing, mint for Colman’s and blackcurrants for Ribena.
