Adam first shot was fired with the venerable No.8 .22 rifle as an Army Cadet, moving on to Target Rifle at the University of Nottingham. He now shoots with various clubs, for Hampshire and UK Police, as well as on previous NRA and England teams to the Channel Islands and Guyana respectively. Shooting highlights include captaining Hampshire to victory in the Counties Short Range match in 2017 (first time since 1954, not that anyone was counting…) plus winning the Percy Whittaker salver on tour in Jersey in 2015 and the The Long in the 2019 English XX Meeting.
When not shooting, Adam is often……shooting, typically either much further from (Match Rifle) or much closer to (smallbore) the target, but will generally turn his hand to anything that can be aimed and goes bang. An engineer by degree and former occupation, Adam is currently paying another team member’s pension as a serving police officer of 17 years, presently combing that with his previous trade as he works in cybercrime and online operations.
