Phil started shooting aged 11 at Stamford School and progressed via the London University teams to regular team and individual shooting at Bisley.
He is a member of the NLRC and Lincolnshire teams and has also represented England in the Lawrence, National, MacKinnon and European Long Range matches. He enjoyed a highly successful first tour with England to Guyana in 2017 and has also toured with Great Britain on two occasions, the first in 2014 to the USA and Canada and again to Canada in 2017. He is very much looking forward to this first experience of shooting in South Africa and Kenya. Away from Bisley activities, Phil is married to Steph, a physio, with whom they have 4 active teenage sons. He works as an Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon in Hampshire. Phil enjoys small bore shooting in Southampton alongside his sons and generally supporting them from various hockey sidelines. He spends any other spare time sailing and motor boating with his family in Poole harbour.
