Ed lives down in Sussex, near the Ashdown Forest, with his other half Naomi & black lab Bruin. For the last couple of years, Ed has been building a new company – Forest Biltong. It was a lockdown project but it has now allowed him to move away completely from plumbing. Things he enjoys are running, fishing, collecting wine & deer stalking. And selling his venison biltong at festivals!
Starting touring in 2000, he competed in South Africa with the GBU19s, Canada with the u25s and finally GBRT to Australia and others. There was unexpected success in 2011, winning the Queen’s Prize without practice and thereby showing how long body memory can last! The last four years have been a transition from shooter to coach, which has been thoroughly enjoyable! Regularly coaching his Sussex team, Ed was thrilled to get his first England coaching cap in the National Match 2021. This challenge is now where his heart lies and Ed is honoured to have been asked to act as main coach for this England team.
Bring on the mirage!
