Edward started out shooting at the age of 8 in the back garden with a Webley Junior air rifle, progressing to smallbore training with the Air Training Corps using No.8’s and slightly later the Stevenage Rifle and Pistol Club where he began learning to shoot Target Rifle properly using a borrowed Match 54 at the age of 16. Edward’s development into Fullbore quickly followed as only 18 months later, he found himself not only competing in the Imperial meeting for the first time, but also went abroad to Bloemfontein for the first time as an individual in their annual meeting.
Since those early days, Edward has gone on to be a part of the English Lions, The Lawrence Match, Reserve in the National, the European Long-Range Match, 2023’s NRA Channel Islands Tour and his First England Tour to Raton, New Mexico in 2024. He regularly contributes to his home county Hertfordshire in Fullbore, and is Vice County Captain in Smallbore in Warwickshire at the Solihull RPC where he trains all year round.
Edward graduated from Sheffield Hallam in 2017 with automotive engineering and presently works for Jaguar Land Rover as a Lead Engineer in Powertrain and Propulsion systems for both hybrid and battery electric vehicles, having also had experience with Ford, BMW, and Case New Holland Industrial. If he is not at the range practicing, Edward enjoys running, designing products for shooting use and practicing different forms of music.
With so much momentum behind him from his first England Tour in the USA, Edward is keen to get stuck in and develop his skills further with a sharp eye on the details. With luck, bringing back the ultimate prize for the team.
