From an early age, Jason, (or Moose as you may know him) was surrounded by shooting as his Grandfather was a regular rough shooter. It was the Air Training Corps that provided him his first competitive shooting experience, initially with a no.8 and progressing to fullbore when his age permitted. His first experience of fullbore was with an SLR from a pit, in pouring horizontal rain at Tregantle ranges in Cornwall. Despite barely being able to cock the rifle or see the sights he instantly acquired the ‘fullbore bug’. He was given an opportunity to attend the Inter Services Cadet Rifle Meeting (ISCRM) in 1988 as a butt marker, however, his coach made a last minute change resulting in him finishing second in the Cadet 100. He returned for two more ISCRMs and eventually secured a place on the 1991 Athelings team.
Jason has worked in the cross channel ferry industry for over 25 years, the last 17 of which have been with Eurotunnel as a business analyst. In his spare time he enjoys all types of shooting and generally being outdoors and can often be found at Bisley with his daughter who sadly prefers shopping to shooting.
