Beyond plinking air rifles in the garden as a teenage Matt first entered the world of competitive shooting behind a L86A2 whilst in the Army Reserves, and upon joining The North Herts Rifles was convinced to give TR a try. Thanks to that group, and the Gloucestershire county community, he’s now been shooting TR for ~12 years.
Matt had his first entry into touring in 2023 with the NRA team to channel islands, the same year as he graduated from the Lions development squad.
While a busy year, the focus on shooting really helped the performances, achieving both George’s and Kings finals that July.
Outside shooting he can often be found on the hills around southwest England with his dog Bailey, and wife Kim, or under his Mx5 trying to keep it alive for one just more year.
