Nigel started shooting whilst at Gresham’s School in Norfolk and enjoyed some success individually in his early years, most notably winning the Century in 1986 with 44 consecutive bullseyes to win the tie shoot prior to the introduction of V Bulls! After that he concentrated on being a reliable team shot, learning from his illustrious team mates in Norfolk of whom he has since captained for around 10 years. Nigel’s first Great Britain tour was to the West Indies in 1996 and his second to New Zealand in 2010. He has also shot in the National 3 times and the MacKinnon once. 21 years since his last visit, Nigel is looking forward to returning to the West Indies to meet up with a few old faces and support the 150th anniversary of the Guyana NRA with some competitive shooting.
At home, Nigel is MD of a large family farming business specialising in dried herb production and blackcurrant growing for Ribena. He is married to Vicky and has 2 teenaged children Charlie and Sophie. He also enjoys Game Shooting, walking and supporting Norwich City FC as a season ticket holder.
