Diary Wednesday 27th

Today the team began to assemble at Bisley ahead of our coach taking us to a small hotel adjacent to Gatwick airport ready for our early flight tomorrow. As the coach wasn’t due to leave until 8.30pm several of the team still had work while others were fortunate enough to have the day off, so everyone arrived bit by bit and headed to the LMRA.

The baggage masters took the lead in making sure team bags were packed and checking the weights of suitcases while the rest of the team worked on packing their rifles into sturdy boxes ready for the flight.

The process went relatively smoothly and fortunately a surplus of space in the team bags enabled those with too heavy suitcases to redistribute some of their luggage.

With everything fully packed ahead of schedule the team were able to get a hot meal together at the LMRA and a few beers before the coach took us to the Gatwick Best Western.

Having left Bisley and feeling thoroughly excited to be finally going on tour we arrived just in time for a night cap in the hotel bar before an early start in the morning.

We would like to thank the LMRA for letting us take over their front room for packing.
