The management team and I have taken the difficult decision to postpone our tour to South Africa and Kenya planned for early 2021, due to the ongoing global uncertainties around the current Covid-19 pandemic. The tour will now take place in 2022. This decision has not been taken lightly and comes as a great disappointment to all us. However, under the current circumstances and with advice from the Foreign Office about the potential future scenarios, the risks have been deemed to be too high at this time.
This does of course mean that with the added run up to 2022, it will give us a much greater opportunity to train and prepare fully for what will be a highly competitive meeting in South Africa and Kenya in the year leading up to the 2023 Long Range World Championships.
We are currently in contact with SABU and KSSF to make ongoing arrangements and will post confirmed dates and further details as soon as we can. In the meantime we are continuing with a full training plan and fund raising activities for the tour.
